Proposed changes to EASR guidance, activity descriptions and standard conditions
SEPA is asking for views on some proposed changes to the Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations 2018. The changes would:
- make application requirements clearer,
- update how the public is involved in certain decisions,
- introduce some new regulated activities, and
- amend rules for existing water, waste and industrial activities.
SEPA is seeking feedback to help improve and simplify its environmental authorisation system.
The consultation closes on 24 August 2026
