TransportNI is a business unit within the Department for Regional Development. As well as key infrastructure maintenance, the unit has responsibility for the development of the Northern Ireland's transport network and a range of transport projects designed to improve network safety, sustainability and efficiency.

ECO Stars

ECO (Efficent Cleaner Operations) Stars is a fleet recognition scheme for HGVs, buses, coaches and vans. The scheme provides recognition for best operational practices and guidance for reducing fuel consumption. It has schemes in a number of Scottish cities and regions.
