Transferring, varying and surrendering EASR authorisations
Transfer an EASR authorisation
Transferring an EASR authorisation is passing it to another responsible person, without changing the activities or conditions.
You can apply to transfer an authorisation (whole or part) to another person. The new holder must follow all conditions included in the authorisation.
There is a fee to transfer authorisations.
Vary an EASR authorisation
Varying an EASR authorisation is applying to change (vary) an existing registration or permit.
You can vary a registration to:
- add another registration level activity, or
- increase the scale of an existing activity
You can vary a permit to:
- add another activity
- change an existing activity, or
- make administrative changes
There is a fee for varying authorisations
Surrender an EASR authorisation
You must apply to surrender an authorisation if:
- you have stopped the activity and no longer need the authorisation, or
- you want to reduce the geographical extent of the authorised site
You can surrender all of the authorisation, or just part of it.
You must continue to comply with the conditions of the authorisation until the authorisation is surrendered.
There may be a fee to surrender an authorisation.
