NetRegs at Scotland Works and the ENDS Awards
This week (12-13 September 2017) we were at Scotland Works at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow. Scotland Works is an exhibition dedicated to industrial, commercial and public sector professionals and is a fantastic opportunity to see the latest technical and services available on the market…all for free! Over the course of the two days, we spoke to visitors and other exhibitors, promoting NetRegs and handing out new NetRegs merchandise. We were also lucky enough to be joined by Karen-Anne and Drew from SEPA’s contact centre who helped us out on day two of the event, so a huge thanks to them both for volunteering!
You may remember from a while ago, both NetRegs and VIBES we were nominated for the ENDS Environmental Impact Awards. We are very excited to announce that we took home the award for ‘Knowledge Development of the Year’ as well as being commended for ‘Team of the Year’. VIBES were also commended in both the ‘Partnership of the Year’ and ‘Product of the Year’ categories! We’re very happy with these accreditations and want to say huge congratulations everyone who was nominated for an ENDS Awards!
A day with Hydrology, SEPA's hydrometry unit is responsible for around 400 gauging stations and 350 rainfall monitoring sites. River gauging stations are important as they allow river levels to be monitored so flood events can be predicted and flood warnings sent out.
Brewing and Distilling Technical Drop-in Day: Waste, Water, Energy, Brewing and Distilling is booming due to high demand for quality Scottish beers and spirits. All this growth is also leading to a boom in food waste, energy and water use.
