Environmental guidance for your business in Northern Ireland & Scotland
The Water Byelaws apply to all types of premises connected to the public water supply in Scotland. The Byelaws apply from the point where the water enters the property’s underground pipe (usually at the stop tap at the property boundary).
Owners and occupiers of premises, and anyone who installs or maintains plumbing systems and water fittings must ensure that the systems and fittings are correctly installed and maintained to meet the requirements of the Water Byelaws.
