Deposit and Return Scheme for Scotland

Scotland's Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) covers the sale and return of drinks containers in Scotland from 16 August 2023. A similar scheme is planned for Northern Ireland and will be introduced late in 2024. 

If you make, import, buy or sell drinks in Scotland you may have legal responsibilities (obligations) under the scheme.
